The Governor of Hafar Al-Batin crowns the winners of the Capture the Flag competition organized by the Saudi Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones Union and Gulf Colleges.
The Gulf Colleges held a ceremony to crown the winners of the Capture the Flag competition under the patronage of the Prince of the Eastern Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, as well as in the presence of His Highness the Governor of Hafar Al-Batin, Prince Mansour bin Saad Al Saud.
The competition, held in partnership with the Saudi Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones Union, saw the participation of 230 teams from 34 Saudi universities. There were 36 challenges in the competition, including reverse engineering, encryption, digital forensic investigation, network security, and web security.
The colleges crowned the first-place team, Potato, composed of students from Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal University. As well as honoring the winning team, the colleges also recognized the second-place team, Xtream, composed of students from Jazan University, and the third-place team,Go Green, composed of Hafar Al-Batin University students. In addition to students from participating colleges, some outstanding graduates and current students were also recognized.
The celebration saw the attendance of several government leaders, among them His Excellency Brigadier Khaled Al Juhani, the Commander of the Northern Region, and His Excellency the Director of the Education Department, along with numerous leaders from both government and private sectors.
